Castaways Pet Rescue, hosts pet adoptions every Saturday at Savannah Pet Smart on Abercorn from 11am to 3pm. We are also at the Hinesville Pet Smart and Brunswick Pet Smart on alternating Saturdays. Come meet our adoptable pets and pick out your future furbaby! You can also come out any time or day to meet our awesome cats and kittens that are housed in the Cat Room, eagerly waiting for their new families to find them. Or, if you see a pet on our site you're interested in, fill out our adoption application and one of our volunteers will contact you.
Volunteer
Castaways Pet Rescue offers a broad range of volunteer opportunities. Volunteers help save the lives of hundreds of animals each year by assisting in the direct care of animals, fundraising, reaching out to the community and fostering animals in their home. We provide food, bowls, crates and medications- You just supply the love!

Castaways Pet Rescue was created in 2012 by veteran Jayne Aitken. She resides in rural McIntosh County and felt she was seeing too many stray animals abandoned. Jayne's local shelter was a kill shelter, but she had a different vision-
she believed that we could do better!
